tito ortiz-1Jacob Christopher is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently a part of the Combate Americas promotion. [2] Ortiz's stints at the Ultimate Fighting Championship are his most prominent. He was an earlier Light Heavyweight champion and held this title from April 14th, 2000 until September 26 in 2003. He was among the first superstars of the sport along with fighters like Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Ortiz ultimately became the biggest pay-per-view star of 2006 due to his fights with Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Ken Shamrock.Ortiz is the president of Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line, which is located in his hometown of Huntington Beach, California.
