Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne (pronounced [pa:dUkoborn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi films. Three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, which make one of the country's most highly-paid actresses. Time magazine named her as one of 100 influential people all over the world in 2018. In addition, she was awarded with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. At the age of 13 she played in badminton competitions at national level. In the end, she quit this sport for a career as a fashion designer. Soon, she began receiving requests to perform in films and her first acting job was playing Aishwarya the Kannada title character. Padukone also played the dual in the role of Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) Her debut Bollywood film. The film earned Padukone she won the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her role as the main character in Love Aaj Kal, but she suffered a brief backlash.
