Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on the 19th of January. 19. 1946, into a poor family with 12 kids eventually included, discovered early that she could get away from suffering through her creative mind. She was writing songs before she was able to write or read. After 8 years of age, she got her first guitar. In the age of 11 when she was 11, she began singing at Knoxville Tenn's local radio station. In the same year, she recorded her debut recording for Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. While still in highschool she established herself local, but longed for a larger stage. When she graduated from high school in 1964, she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated tv show needed an additional singer around this point. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after signing in 1969 with RCA Records. The band split in 1974 after her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene outsold the collaborations. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at the top spot at No. Its first appearance at No. 1 was 1974.
