Sheryl Underwood, a American comedian and TV personality most well-known as anchor for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and grew up in Little Rock, Atwater, as well as Atwater. Sheryl was raised in a difficult family. Sheryl spent most of her youth taking care of her sister Frankie, who had polio. When she was a child, she had an uneasy relationship with her mother. Sheryl said that at one point her mother had attacked the father of her child because she had been a little too close to him. Sheryl enlisted in the military after her college graduation. Her passion for the military was comedy. She was the first woman to win the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. In 1992, she made her TV debut with regular appearances on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television talk show Oh Drama! In 2011, she's a cohost of the Talk Show. She has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series including Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
